Most people over fifty suffer from some degree of arthritis. In both rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis it is important that mobility is maintained or the joints will seize up if they are not used. Generally what stops the movement is the pain involved. Under hypnosis anaesthesia can be induced to enable the client to gently mobilize the affected area pain free. It is also recognized that emotions such as fear, anger, hatred, jealousy may lead to conflict tensions. Over time these can cause painful muscle spasms and by repetition a pattern of tension spasms is likely to occur which can ultimately cause the breakdown of cartilage. Hypnosis can reduce this tension and its resultant negative impact by placing you in a deeply relaxed state, promoting positive thoughts and coping strategies to deal with the unwanted emotions and clearing negative attitudes.
